Well, my journey has begun. I am starting a new venture tomorrow - one that leaves me with much anxiety and fear, but excitement and thrill also mixed in. I was offered a Store Manager position with the company I am currently employeed by - Arhaus Furniture. WOW!
I will be the manager at the Boulder, CO location - it's in the new 29th Street Mall, supreme location and incredible stuff. We have it all! Would love to have YOU come check it out and root me on - Lord knows, I need it.
Wish me luck!
I have a few new ventures with Bee Designs as well - look for pics in the next few weeks!

A little of my OWN medicine....
I've found that this new career of mine is also a hobby. Now that I don't have the confined walls of a rented apartment I can feel free to change the colors of my walls, pound as many nail holes into the drywall, or move furniture around as often as I please. It's liberating!
Here are some pictures of my bathroom. I absolutely LOVE what a small space allows for. You can just about anything you want because it's in small increments. I also love color, and especially red, so I painted the ceiling a beautiful bright, fire engine, red! Added a few accents to complete the 'color triangle' (putting splashes of color in 3's creates unity and connection in a space) and POOF - perfection! Take a look!

You've probably seen this before...
If you're friends with me on Facebook, you've probably seen this before. BUT, it was such a success that I have to post it.

These are some pictures of my mom's living room. Yes, my mom's. Originally, it was a class project. I had to find someone (my BEST mom) and they had to let me 're-do' a room in their house using ONLY their pieces. I told her that we could take the before and after pictures and move her furniture right back where it was. But when we were done moving it, she said, "Let's leave it this way, I LOVE it!" I told her she didn't have to, that my pictures were taken and the project was done, but she insisted (see why she's the best now?).
Really, though, the ultimate satisfaction for me was just about a month ago. My parents put their house up for sale and when the 'professional stager' came in to 'do her thing' she didn't touch my room! Yep, that's right! It was perfect! And, the best part about the whole thing is that my Mom's house sold in just 2 weeks! Woo Hoo!
My First Gig!
Well, here it is! My blog... about interior design. My plan is to publish some work I've done, some advice I have, and some good resources. It's going to be light at first as I don't have a LOT under my belt, but my hope is that with YOUR help and my skills, we can get this up and running in no time!
